Investigators further claimed the accused were instructed in multiple attack techniques by an overseas handler identified as Abdullah, who allegedly coordinated activities remotely.

Investigation points to alleged attack planning

According to News 18, the Gujarat ATS JeM terror plot investigation suggests the suspects had progressed beyond planning and were allegedly conducting field trials. Officials claim explosive tests were carried out at several locations to assess the effectiveness of improvised devices.

The ATS said the accused allegedly received funding of around ₹3 lakh, which investigators believe was used to purchase vehicles for surveillance. Officials further claimed the group had identified a garden-style hotel in Ahmedabad as one of the possible targets under reconnaissance.
