Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly made his South Delhi property the sole property of himself and wife Gauri Khan, where they spent the early days of their married life.

As per Moneycontrol, the remaining portions of the second and third floors of the Panchsheel Park property where the actor had his home early in his life after marriage was sold back to him for an estimated Rs 37 crore.

A family house with personal remembrances

The home in the affluent Panchsheel Park neighborhood of South Delhi is incredibly significant to Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. The couple had been married in 1991 and this was their first home together before the actor moved to Mumbai to make a career in Bollywood.

The Khan family already owned the basement and first floor of the property, reports say. On completion of the recent acquisition of the second and third floors, Shah Rukh has reportedly acquired a full ownership of the entire building.

Reported Rs 37 crore buy-back

The deal is estimated to be worth around Rs 37 crore, according to the media reports. The house has been spread across a vast plot in one of the prime residential localities in South Delhi, which is one of the most prominent celebrity real estates in South Delhi in recent times.

Down the memory lane

For many years, Shah Rukh and Gauri have been talking about how emotionally attached they have been to the city of Delhi over the years. The house has been the subject of numerous interviews and social media posts. Gauri called it a “sentimental pull” filled with memories of the couple’s early years together, according to iDiva. She also remodeled the house, combining twee and modern style.

Explaining why the house means so much to her, she added, “As many know I am from Delhi and have lived a major part of my life here, so I bought it”.

What makes it home?

Gauri focused on a warm, personal, and nostalgic aesthetic rather than purely modern luxury, integrating family antiques and SRK’s personal artwork to keep their roots in the capital alive.

She also designed a “nostalgia wall” with family keepsakes like Aryan’s old badminton rackets, Suhana’s makeup brushes, and childhood mementos.

The acquisition brings another landmark property to the Khan family’s portfolio of property that includes the iconic Mannat in Mumbai, residential properties in Alibaug, Dubai and London.
