Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has delivered a record-breaking opening weekend in India, emerging as the filmmaker’s biggest box office debut in the country. The fantasy epic crossed ₹73 crore gross within three days of release, driven by strong occupancy and consistent weekend collections.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated ₹21.90 crore nett on Sunday (Day 3), registering only a marginal dip from Saturday’s ₹22 crore nett.

Based on Sacnilk estimates, the film collected:
Day 1 (Friday): ₹17.40 crore nett
Day 2 (Saturday): ₹22 crore nett
Day 3 (Sunday): ₹21.90 crore nett
This takes the film’s total India collection to approximately ₹61.30 crore nett and ₹73.19 crore gross after its opening weekend.

The film was screened across 9,195 shows on Sunday, with the original English version continuing to contribute the largest share of revenue. The English release has reportedly earned around ₹48.5 crore, while the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions have also added to the overall collection.

The Odyssey had already become Christopher Nolan’s highest opening-day grosser in India after collecting ₹20.75 crore gross on Friday, surpassing the opening of Oppenheimer.
With its three-day performance, the film has now registered the biggest opening weekend of Nolan’s career in India, overtaking all of his previous releases in the market.
