After months of gaining supporters through critical comments about India’s exam system and the responsibility of the government, the creator of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), Abhijeet Dipke, is now ready to turn his social media-based protests into a street protest.
The Boston-educated founder made the declaration on Monday and declared that he would be returning to India on June 6 to make a request to peacefully protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi and make one single demand, which is the resignation of the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
This marks a dramatic change in how Dipke is carrying out his campaign. While in the past he has been a self-described political activist who only worked digitally by making criticism videos about problems with India’s education system, his current actions are indicating a step in a new direction.

From online criticism to street mobilisation
In a video shared on X, Dipke said the protest would focus on what he sees as a lack of accountability following recent examination controversies, including the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak allegations and concerns raised by students over major entrance and recruitment examinations.
According to Dipke, students preparing for competitive exams have been left frustrated and uncertain about their futures due to repeated disruptions and controversies.
“The time has come for all of us to come together and peacefully raise our voice,” he said while announcing the proposed demonstration. His appeal is aimed directly at students and young people, a demographic that has become central to his growing online presence.

A test of real-world support
The upcoming June 6 demonstration will likely act as a litmus test for Dipke as well as the rest of the Cockroach Janta Party.
While the online activism might have made headlines thus far, it may prove to be much harder to turn cyber presence into something tangible in the real world.

In that vein, Dipke has called for supporters to meet him at the airport following his arrival and then go together and seek permission for holding the demonstration. Moreover, Dipke has been trying to convince his followers that this protest will be peaceful and legal, citing Mahatma Gandhi, B.R. Ambedkar, Bhagat Singh and Jawaharlal Nehru among his mentors.
More than just Facebook
It has been revealed that Dipke rejected some employment opportunities outside the country in order to fight against problems facing students in India. Time will tell whether or not this move by Dipke will spark a larger revolution amongst India’s young generation.
For now, it seems that the task is simple: to bring the rage expressed online to life, putting pressure on authorities to provide answers regarding students and exam reforms.
