British adventurer and television host Bear Grylls on Tuesday shared a message praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi while reflecting on his interactions with world leaders over the years.
Posting on X, the Man vs Wild host shared photographs featuring himself with PM Modi, former US President Barack Obama and the United Kingdom’s Prince William.
Alongside the images, Grylls wrote, “I’ve met some of the most powerful leaders in the world. The best ones were never the loudest.”

PM Modi’s appearance on Man vs Wild
In 2019, Prime Minister Modi joined Grylls for a special episode of Man vs Wild filmed at the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand. The episode aired the following year and offered viewers a glimpse of the Prime Minister outside his political role.
Before the programme was released, Modi had explained why he agreed to be part of the adventure.
“For years, I have lived among nature, in the mountains and the forests. These years have a lasting impact on my life. So when I was asked about a special programme focussing on life beyond politics and that too in the midst of nature I was both intrigued and inclined to take part in it,” he had said ahead of the broadcast.
A message on nature and conservation
The episode showed Grylls guiding the Prime Minister through Jim Corbett National Park while discussing wildlife conservation and environmental protection.
Rather than focusing on survival challenges alone, the programme highlighted Modi’s long-standing connection with nature and his views on preserving the environment for future generations.
During the journey, he also spoke about the idea of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (The whole world is one family), emphasising the importance of living in harmony with nature without exploiting it.
