The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Students’ Association has extended support to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and activist Sonam Wangchuk in their ongoing protest against alleged examination paper leaks and irregularities in the education system.
On Monday, members of the FTII Students’ Association held a demonstration on the institute’s campus in support of the CJP’s ‘Chalo Sansad’ march and demanded greater accountability over alleged exam leaks.
In a statement, the association condemned the police action against protesters in Delhi and urged the Centre to engage in dialogue with students raising concerns over the examination process.

“The Film and Television Institute of India Students’ Association strongly stands against the atrocities carried out by the Delhi Police on peaceful protesters. We condemn the lack of spine the Central government has shown by not even engaging with the students who demand a fair examination process,” the association said.
Why did FTII students back the protest?
The students’ body said its support stemmed not only from the NEET controversy but also from concerns over its own entrance examination.
According to the association, the FTII entrance test paper was allegedly leaked earlier this year, following which the examination had to be conducted again.
A representative of the association said paper leaks had become a nationwide issue.
“The Students’ Association of FTII stands in complete solidarity with their struggle. The issue of paper leaks has spread across the country. Even the FTII entrance examination paper was leaked a few days ago. The examination has been conducted again,” the representative said.
Another member urged the Union government to initiate talks with students instead of responding with force.
Protests continue in Delhi
The FTII Students’ Association’s support comes as protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party continue in the national capital over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.
On Monday, a CJP delegation met Union Health Minister JP Nadda to discuss its demands. According to official sources, the minister appealed to protesters to end their sit-in.
Meanwhile, activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, remains under medical care after being shifted to Safdarjung Hospital on July 18.
