PM Modi on Thursday said the Centre will set up fast-track courts to ensure the speedy trial of paper leak cases, amid growing concerns over examination irregularities and protests over the NEET issue.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said safeguarding students’ interests remains one of the government’s top priorities. He also directed officials to take all necessary steps to implement the decision.

Announcing the move, Modi said the government has decided to introduce fast-track courts to deal with cases related to paper leaks and ensure those responsible face swift punishment.

“Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth!” the Prime Minister wrote.

“We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students,” he said.

The announcement comes as concerns over paper leaks and examination integrity have remained in focus, with students across the country demanding stricter action against those involved.
