Bengaluru commuters are likely to face major traffic disruptions ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city, with authorities issuing a detailed traffic advisory for key routes including NICE Road, HAL Airport Road and surrounding areas. According to Bengaluru Traffic Police, several roads will remain closed or experience diversions during the Prime Minister’s movement on Sunday.
The advisory stated that restrictions would affect routes connecting the airport and central parts of the city. Heavy traffic congestion is expected near important junctions, especially around the NICE Road stretch, Umbrella Junction and HAL Airport Road. Commuters have been advised to plan their travel in advance and use alternative routes to avoid delays.
Which routes will be affected
As per the reports of livemint, the traffic advisory, temporary restrictions and diversions will be enforced on stretches connected to the Prime Minister’s convoy route. Authorities said vehicular movement could be halted intermittently for security reasons.

Roads near Kempegowda International Airport, HAL areas and parts of Outer Ring Road are expected to witness the highest impact. Police officials urged residents to avoid non-essential travel during peak movement hours.
Advisory issued for commuters
The Bengaluru Traffic Police asked commuters heading towards the airport to leave early due to possible slow-moving traffic and diversions. Public transport users were also advised to check route updates before travelling.
According to the reports of livemint officials said traffic personnel would be deployed across key junctions to manage congestion and ensure smooth movement wherever possible. Emergency vehicles and essential services will continue to receive priority access during restrictions.
