Looking for a bank job? PNB opens 30 engineering vacancies—here’s how you can apply

The Punjab National Bank (PNB) has started a recruitment drive for engineering graduates. The vacancies are for Officer posts under JMG Scale I. Interested candidates can apply online at pnb.bank.in.

The application window closes on May 5, 2026, with an online examination scheduled for May 27, 2026. A total of 30 positions are available across civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering specialisations.

Most vacancies are in Civil Engineering with 21 posts. Electrical Engineering has 7 posts. Mechanical Engineering offers 2 posts, all under JMG Scale I.

Educational eligibility

Candidates must have a B.E. or B.Tech degree from a recognised university. They need at least 60% marks in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering. Equivalent qualifications approved by the Government of India are also accepted.

Selection process

Selection will be through a written test and interview, or interview only. The exam lasts 120 minutes and has two parts. Part I includes Reasoning, English, and Quantitative Aptitude. Part II tests Professional Knowledge. It is also stated that negative marking will apply. One-fourth of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Application fee varies by category. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates need to pay ₹59. All other applicants must pay ₹1,180. Payment can be made via cards, net banking, IMPS, wallets, or UPI. More details are available on the PNB website.
