Infosys has ranked first in LinkedIn’s 2026 Top Companies list for India. The list is an annual data-backed ranking that identifies large employers where professionals can build long-term careers.
The latest edition highlights 25 companies operating in India that, according to LinkedIn, stand out on measures linked to career progression, skill development, and opportunity.

Top five led by tech, finance giants
Accenture secured the second position, followed by Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, and SAP in the top five. The extensive list reflects a mix of information technology, consulting, financial services, and multinational corporations, indicating continued demand across sectors beyond traditional tech hiring.
LinkedIn says the rankings are based on platform data tracking how professionals move and grow in their careers. Its methodology evaluates factors such as advancement opportunities, skills acquisition, company stability, and external opportunity, among other indicators. The company describes the list as a guide for jobseekers looking for workplaces that can offer sustained career development rather than only immediate openings.

Ten new firms enter 2026 ranking
The list points to a broader and more competitive hiring landscape this year. 10 companies entered the ranking, with new names spanning technology, enterprise software, semiconductors, and financial services.
The full top 25 also includes IBM, Fidelity Investments, Alphabet, EY, Wells Fargo, Eli Lilly and Company, NVIDIA, HSBC, Bank of America, HP, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, SanDisk, Marvell Technology, Boston Consulting Group, Royal Caribbean Group, RTX, Stryker, Thomson Reuters, and ServiceNow.
“This year’s top companies list clearly signals that hirers are looking at proof of skills as much as they are looking at their presence,” Nirajita Banerjee, LinkedIn career expert and India senior managing editor, said.
To be included on the list, the companies had to fulfill specific eligibility requirements. As of December 31, 2025, there must be at least 5,000 employees worldwide and 500 employees in India. The methodology excluded companies with higher attrition or major layoffs during the review period. Bengaluru remains the leading talent hub for these employers, with Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai also featuring prominently.
