Woman accidentally shares Blinkit invoice with recruiter

A job seeker named Himanshi made an embarrassing error while applying for a job. She sent a Blinkit grocery invoice as an attachment instead of her resume. The recruiter noticed the mistake and pointed it out in a reply email.

Himanshi then posted a screenshot of the exchange on X. Her caption read, “I am my own worst enemy.” The post quickly spread online and crossed 454k views.

The recruiter’s response

As per the X post, the recruiter’s email started on a polite note. It read, “Hi Himanshi, Thanks for your application. But you have attached your Blinkit invoice,” pointing out that no CV or relevant document was found. They found a Blinkit invoice instead. Rather than staying quiet, Himanshi chose to laugh at herself.

In a follow-up post, she wrote, “Blinkit job toh nahi mil payegi, free condolence ice cream dedo.”

The internet is flooded with witty replies

Many users found the post highly relatable. One wrote, “This is exactly the kind of mistake I would make under pressure.” Another said, “At least you gave them a glimpse into your daily essentials.” A third joked, “Recruiter probably got confused whether to review your skills or your snack choices.”

Some took the humour further. “Blinkit invoice is the new resume format,” one comment read. Another added, “Honestly, this is more real than any polished CV.” While another user commented, “Her resume says attention to detail, but her attachment says two kilos of onions and a pack of chips.”

A mistake that many could relate to

The blunder struck a chord because many people fear doing the same thing. One user noted, “We have all double checked attachments and still feared this exact situation.” Another remarked, “The confidence to post this publicly is admirable.” One user added, “All of us have been Himanshi once.” The post showed that small, honest mistakes can bring people together, especially when shared with humour.
