India Women laid the foundation with 285 in the first innings as Smriti Mandhana (83), Harmanpreet Kaur (58) and Deepti Sharma (57) made crucial contributions. The visitors then bowled England out for 170, with debutant pacer Kranti Gaud stealing the show with a brilliant five-wicket haul.

In their second innings, India declared at 341/7 after Yastika Bhatia produced a magnificent century. The wicketkeeper-batter’s 113 helped India set England a daunting target of 457.
