Rohit Sharma scripts history at Lord’s
The century was a special one for Rohit as he became the first Indian batter to score an ODI hundred at Lord’s. It added another milestone to his decorated career and came at a crucial time after questions had been raised over his recent form.

Rohit dominated the England bowlers from the start and stitched together a 147-run opening partnership with Shubman Gill to give India a strong foundation in the massive chase. He eventually scored 138 off 110 balls, hitting 17 fours and five sixes before being dismissed.
However, India could not cross the finish line despite Rohit’s heroics. England fought back through Sam Curran, who claimed four wickets to trigger a late collapse. India finished on 360/7, falling 27 runs short of the target as England won the third ODI and clinched the three-match series 2-1.
Although India ended on the losing side, Rohit’s memorable century and Ritika’s emotional reaction became two of the biggest talking points from an unforgettable day at the Home of Cricket.
