Why BCCI is exploring backup plans
According to reports, the BCCI has approached the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) regarding a possible India A tour later this year. The move is being considered as a contingency measure should the Bangladesh tour fail to receive the necessary clearance.
An India A tour would provide valuable competitive exposure for emerging players while also strengthening cricketing ties between India and Nepal. The Himalayan nation has steadily grown its presence on the international cricket stage, and hosting an Indian developmental side would represent a significant opportunity for its cricketing ecosystem.
