Zimbabwe have announced a 16 member squad for the upcoming three match T20I series against India, with uncapped wicketkeeper batter Tafadzwa Tsiga earning his first international call up. Led by Sikandar Raza, the hosts have retained the core of their experienced squad while rewarding domestic performers ahead of an important home assignment. The series, to be played at the Harare Sports Club, will give Zimbabwe another chance to test themselves against a strong Indian side.

Tsiga rewarded for domestic performances

The biggest talking point in the squad is the inclusion of Tafadzwa Tsiga, who has been rewarded for his consistent performances in domestic cricket. The wicketkeeper batter is now in line to make his international debut if selected in the playing eleven.

Zimbabwe have also retained several experienced names, including Ryan Burl, Brian Bennett, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava and Wellington Masakadza. The selectors have opted for continuity, keeping faith with the players who have featured regularly in recent T20I assignments.
