Arshdeep Singh, the Indian pacer, created a fuss on social media after wiping his Instagram profile almost clean, deleting more than 200 posts, including the viral reel with Virat Kohli from the Champions Trophy 2025 campaign.
Though Arshdeep has not opened up with any explanation regarding this social media activity, which left out his fans scrambled.

Arshdeep’s racial comments on other players
Arshdeep has been the spotlight of controversy multiple times in recent weeks. Earlier this month, he was allegedly heard saying, “Oye Andhere, sunscreen lagaaya?” (“Hey, dark one, did you apply sunscreen?”), directing Tilak Varma during a match between PBKS and MI, which triggered outrage among sections of fans and cricket experts alike.

The former Indian cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan criticised Arshdeep and demanded his suspension from the IPL.
Taking to X, Laxman wrote, “Nobody believed me. Everyone mocked and trolled me. Arshdeep should be banned this season and should be paid on a pro rata basis. The players today should be hit where it hurts the most.” He further added, “If BCCI takes action, I will name people who racially abused me.”
Controversy via Snapchat
Later on, Arshdeep made controversy again after a fiery response following the defeat of PBKS to MI, and also teasing his own teammate, Priyansh Arya, in Snapchat stories that went viral online at the blink of an eye.

At the end of this season of IPL 2026, Arshdeep went through disappointing build-ups, where he bagged only 14 wickets in 14 games at an economy rate of 10.21.
