The Games will feature athletics and para athletics, swimming and para swimming, 3×3 basketball and wheelchair basketball, boxing, track cycling and para track cycling, artistic gymnastics, judo, weightlifting and para powerlifting, netball, and bowls with para bowls.
All events will be held across four venues in Glasgow, allowing organisers to conduct the Games in a more compact format.
Strong focus on Para sports in the Commonwealth Games 2026
The 2026 Commonwealth Games will include the biggest integrated Para sports programme in the history of the event. A total of 47 Para medal events will be contested across six sports, making this the most inclusive edition so far.
The men’s and women’s mile races will return for the first time since 1966. A total of 74 Commonwealth Games Associations, including Gabon and Togo, are expected to take part.
Some popular sports such as cricket, hockey, badminton, wrestling and shooting are not part of the programme this time because of the revised format.

Fans in India can watch the Commonwealth Games live on Sony Sports Network, while live streaming will be available on Sony LIV. With 10 sports, 11 days of competition and a compact schedule, Glasgow is set to deliver an exciting edition of the Commonwealth Games.
