West Bengal govt launches ‘Apnar Sarkar Apnar Pashe’ portal; know how to file complaints online

Citizens seeking solutions to issues related to government services in West Bengal now have a new platform to register their grievances online. The state government has launched the ‘Apnar Sarkar Apnar Pashe’ portal, allowing people to directly raise complaints concerning various welfare schemes and public services.

The portal comes days after the government introduced a dedicated helpline under the same initiative.

How to access the portal

The new grievance portal can be accessed through the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) website. Visitors will find a dedicated ‘Apnar Sarkar Apnar Pashe’ section containing the helpline details, official email address and a ‘Raise Grievance’ option.

Through the portal, citizens can submit complaints related to schemes such as the Annapurna Yojana, old-age pension, widow pension, and other government services.

Steps to register a complaint

To file a grievance, users must first enter their mobile number. An OTP will be sent for verification. After completing the CAPTCHA verification process, the complaint registration page will open.

Applicants will then need to provide personal and location details, including:

Name

Address

District

Subdivision

Police station

Assembly constituency

Post office details

The form also requires the applicant’s age, email address and an alternate contact number.

A separate section is available to describe the grievance. Supporting documents can also be uploaded before submitting the application.

Once all details have been filled in, users can click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the process.

Helpline and email support already operational

Earlier this month, the state government launched a dedicated helpline from Nabanna Sabha Ghar under the ‘Apnar Sarkar Apnar Pashe’ initiative.

Citizens facing difficulties in accessing government services can contact the helpline number 8282082820. The government has also provided the email address [email protected] for assistance and grievance-related communication.

Initiative follows change in government

During her tenure as Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee had introduced the ‘Mukhyamantrike Bolun’ programme in 2023, along with a helpline facility. The programme, however, had drawn complaints regarding its functioning.

After assuming office as Chief Minister, Suvendu Adhikari said that his administration would be a government for the people. According to the government, the name ‘Apnar Sarkar Apnar Pashe’ reflects that approach and has now been adopted for the public grievance redressal initiative.

FAQs:
