Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said on Saturday that repeated US violations of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by the presidents of Iran and the United States had shown that President Donald Trump’s signature was “utterly worthless and devoid of credibility.”
The comments were issued in writing at a time of sharply rising tension between Washington and Tehran.
The statement came after the collapse of a ceasefire agreement last week, with the two sides exchanging strikes and fears growing of a return to full-scale war.
Iran was suspending its commitments to the interim deal, which had been signed about a month earlier.

Khamenei also warned that the United States should expect resistance.
He said the Iranian nation and the “resistance front” had “unforgettable lessons” for the US, while NDTV quoted him saying the American enemy sought to incite war and would face consequences.
He also referred to the US as “Satan,” underscoring the hardening tone from Tehran as the diplomatic track weakened.
