White House meme on ‘Trump derangement syndrome’ sparks social media storm

Donald Trump revived the phrase “Trump Derangement Syndrome” during a White House event on new maternal health initiatives on Monday, saying critics of his policies were suffering from what he described as “actually a disease.”

The White House account then posted a mock prescription-style image in response to a clip of the president’s comments, turning the exchange into a viral moment online.

In the post, the White House wrote, “Send to someone who needs,” alongside a prescription template listing four tongue-in-cheek remedies: “Trusting in Trump,” “Listening to national anthem,” “Limit fake news,” and “Don’t be a panican.”

The official X account shared the image after Trump’s remarks in the Oval Office.

Internet responds with memes

Social media users quickly responded with their own edited versions of the prescription, helping the post circulate widely.

The Independent noted that the term “Trump Derangement Syndrome” is a modern adaptation of “Bush Derangement Syndrome,” a phrase coined by conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer in 2003 to describe irrational opposition.
