A large part of filming also happened at Castello di Santa Caterina, a crumbling castle from the 15th century that sits on top of a hill. Getting there wasn’t easy either, the crew had to make a tough 900 foot hike every day, and heavy equipment had to be flown in by helicopter.

This film used Sicily’s sunny beaches, old stone streets, and baroque style buildings to build a dreamy European look. Directed by Homi Adajania, it stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna.

The San Domenico Palace, a Four Seasons property in Taormina, played the fictional White Lotus resort. Most of the pool scenes, dramatic hotel entrances, and guest arguments were shot here.
