This weekend brings a mix of genres to theatres, with something for every kind of moviegoer, from big budget action to lighthearted comedy.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day

This one has finally hit the big screen. The film brings back Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo. The story continues from where Peter Parker, trying to save the universe, asks Dr Strange to cast a spell that erases everyone’s memory of his true identity behind the Spider-Man mask.

The Odyssey

Christopher Nolan’s take on this epic tale is also having a great run at the box office. Matt Damon steps into the role of Odysseus, the king of Ithaca whose long and dangerous journey home after the Trojan War has been told and retold for generations. The film also features Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattinson.

Alpha

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari lead this film, making it the first movie in the YRF Spy Universe centered on female leads. Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor also star in this action thriller, which follows two skilled intelligence agents who team up to take down a major threat to the country’s security.

Baby Do Die Do

Huma Qureshi headlines this psychological crime thriller, directed by Nachiket Samant. The cast also includes Sikandar Kher, Chunky Panday and Seema Pahwa. Huma plays Baby, a deaf and mute serial killer who is driven to kill after hearing the voice of her dead sister in her head.

Dhamaal 4

The comedy franchise returns with familiar faces like Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Sanjay Mishra and Sanjay Dutt, along with some newcomers. Directed by Indra Kumar, this instalment follows a new treasure hunt that turns into a chain of funny mix ups, wild chases and laugh out loud moments.

Bhai Tera Star Hai

Raghav Juyal and Niharika NM star in this comedy about an actor who owes money to a dangerous gangster after losing a bet on cricket. To cover it up, he tells a lie that soon spirals into a mess of confusion, chaos, a robbery and a police chase through London.
