Peddi advance bookings gain momentum ahead of June 4 release

Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi is building strong momentum at the box office even before its theatrical release. With just days left before the film arrives in cinemas, advance bookings have started gaining pace both overseas and in India.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the Telugu-language sports action drama is scheduled to release worldwide on June 4. The film stars Ram Charan alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu, with music composed by A.R. Rahman.

Strong response from North America

The biggest boost for the film has come from overseas markets, particularly North America. As per NDTV movies report, updates shared by box office trackers, USA premiere advance bookings had reached nearly $692,000 as of June 1 morning. Overall advance sales across North America crossed $767,000, which is approximately Rs 7.3 crore.

Earlier reports had also indicated that the film sold more than 18,900 tickets in North America, generating over $533,000 in pre-sales. Industry trackers noted that Peddi’s advance booking trend remains among the strongest for a Telugu release this year.

Despite competition from major Hollywood releases occupying several premium screens in the United States, distributors have reported continued demand from audiences ahead of the premiere shows.

Big pre-release business adds to expectations

As per NDTV Profit, Trade reports suggest that Peddi has already completed worldwide theatrical business worth around Rs 220 crore before release. The Andhra Pradesh and Telangana distribution rights alone are valued at around Rs 135 crore, including nearly Rs 48 crore from the Nizam region. Overseas rights are said to have fetched close to Rs 34 crore.

With such large pre-release deals in place, the film is expected to target a worldwide gross collection of around Rs 450 crore to emerge as a major theatrical success.

Advance booking begins in Andhra Pradesh

Meanwhile, ticket bookings have now gone live in parts of Andhra Pradesh. Premiere show bookings opened in regions including Duggirala and Nellore, with fans rushing to secure tickets ahead of release. More locations are expected to gradually open bookings through online ticketing platforms.

The Andhra Pradesh government has also approved special premiere screenings beginning at 8 PM on June 3, a day before the film’s official release. Temporary ticket price hikes and permission for additional daily shows have also been granted for the opening week.

All eyes on opening weekend

Peddi has remained one of the most talked-about Telugu releases of the year, driven by Ram Charan’s star power, large-scale production and strong promotional campaign. With advance bookings gathering momentum across markets, industry attention is now focused on whether the film can convert its strong pre-release buzz into a record-breaking opening weekend.
