Tollywood superstar Dev Adhikari has officially announced his directorial debut with DeSu 7, marking a significant new chapter in his career. The announcement came through a striking video featuring Dev alongside Subhashree Ganguly and Anirban Bhattacharya.
The video ends with a powerful reveal: “Story, Screenplay, Produced and Directed by Dev”, confirming his complete creative control over the project. Sharing the clip, Dev wrote, “Lives collide – Lines blur – Rules break. Silence was temporary. The shift is permanent.”
Touted as a bold and transformative film, DeSu 7 is slated for a theatrical release during Pujo, building strong anticipation among fans. The project signals Dev’s evolution from actor-producer to a full-fledged filmmaker, with audiences eagerly awaiting this ambitious venture.

With this announcement, Dev is going to make his directorial debut. Previously, he has worked as a creative director in his action film comeback, Khaadan. Having 24 years of working experience, Dev is very much renowned for his artistic vision; from Srijit Mukherjee to many big directors have appreciated his creative vision. Though Dev has again challenged himself, taking full creative control of the film, it is not the first time he has done it; he first explored other creative aspects in Chaamp, which was his first release from his production, where he took the role of screenplay writing. Soojit Dutta Rino, who directed Khadaan, was hired to direct this big project previously. Dev is known for his production and marketing, styles, and now his debut in the directorial role has already hype up the project #desu7.
