Real Madrid record revenue reached an unprecedented €1.221 billion during the 2025-26 financial year, setting a new benchmark in global sport. The Spanish giants became the first sports organisation to generate more than €1.2 billion in annual operating revenue, highlighting the club’s continued commercial strength alongside its sporting success. The latest financial report also showed improved profitability, higher stadium earnings and sustained investment in both infrastructure and playing squads.

The figures underline how Real Madrid have strengthened their financial position while maintaining their member-owned model, with all profits reinvested into the club instead of being distributed to shareholders.

Real Madrid record revenue driven by Bernabéu and commercial growth

The biggest contributor to the Real Madrid record revenue was continued commercial expansion. Revenue generated directly by the club increased significantly, with Santiago Bernabéu earnings rising by 11 percent compared to the previous financial year.

Commercial partnerships also continued to deliver impressive growth as renewed sponsorship agreements and new commercial deals boosted marketing income. Since the 2018-19 season, overall revenue has grown by 61 percent, with most of that increase coming from businesses directly managed by the club.

The renovated Bernabéu has now become one of Real Madrid’s strongest financial assets, generating more than double the revenue recorded before redevelopment.

Financial stability allows continued investment

Alongside the Real Madrid record revenue, the club reported record EBITDA of €287.4 million and a post-tax profit of €26.3 million. It also marked the 26th consecutive financial year in which the club has reported a profit.

Real Madrid continued investing heavily in infrastructure and squad development during the season. The club spent €192 million on facilities, technology and sporting projects, while €161 million was invested in new player signings.

The Bernabéu redevelopment has now reached a cumulative investment of more than €1.4 billion, reinforcing the club’s long-term commercial ambitions.

Member-owned model continues to shape club strategy

The Real Madrid record revenue also reflects the strength of the club’s unique ownership structure. Unlike many European clubs, Real Madrid remain owned by their members, with profits channelled back into football and basketball operations.

The club ended the financial year with strong equity, minimal net debt outside the stadium project and substantial available credit facilities, giving it financial flexibility for future investments.

With commercial revenues continuing to rise and infrastructure projects nearing completion, Real Madrid appear well positioned to remain one of world football’s strongest financial institutions while continuing to strengthen their squads for future success.
