Who can apply?

Students can apply for the DRDO internship if they are pursuing an undergraduate engineering degree in the 7th or 8th semester or a postgraduate engineering degree in the 2nd year of a full-time course. Applicants must be enrolled in a relevant discipline from a recognised Indian university, college, or institute.

What is the internship duration

The internship duration is a minimum of 6 months for undergraduate students and 11 months for postgraduate students. This period is designed to give students practical exposure through project work and research training in the organisation.

Students must have a strong academic record with 75 per cent marks or more, or a score of 7.5 out of 10 or more. Applicants should have passed with first class with distinction or at least 75 per cent marks from AICTE or UGC-approved colleges or universities. The principal or director of the institution must provide a recommendation letter only for highly deserving and meritorious students.
