The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has unveiled the new pilgrimage package for travellers named Ganga Gaya Sangam Yatra, where pilgrims will be able to visit the most revered spiritual destinations of North India.

The tour
News 18 reported that the seven-night, eight-day tour will depart from Hyderabad on September 2, 2026, where travellers will be taken to Gaya with a flight via Kolkata.
Upon arrival, travellers will visit the iconic Mahabodhi Temple and nearby Budhhist monastries. Day 2 is dedicated to Gaya’s famous Hindu pilgrimage sites, including the Vishnu Padam Temple and the Mangala Gauri Shaktipeeth.
After sightseeing, the group will travel for six to seven hours by road to Varanasi for a three-night stay. Pilgrims will then visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, explore the ancient temples and sacred ghats, witness the Ganga Aarti and browse the local markets. The next day marks a visit to Sarnath, where Lord Budhha is believed to have delivered his first serom.
The next stop after Varanasi tour is Prayagraj, where devotees will visit the revered Alopi Devi Temple and the Triveni Sangam before moving to Ayodhya for an overnight stay. The next day is devoted to exploring Ayodhya’s important temples.
After Ayodhya, the group will shift to Lucknow, where the pilgrims will visit Naimisharanya and on the final day, the tour will conclude with a visit to the historic Bara Imambara, following which an evening flight from Lucknow will return passengers to Hyderabad.
About the package
The package costs Rs 54,800 for single occupancy, Rs 41,000 per person on twin sharing and Rs 38,750 per person on triple sharing. IRCTC has included return air travel between Hyderabad-Gaya and Lucknow-Hyderabad, seven nights’ hotel accomodation, seven breakfasts, seven dinners and one lunch. The package also includes AC coach transport for sightseeing, travel insurance, the services of an IRCTC tour escort throughout the journey and applicable taxes.

However, entry tickets to monuments and temples, meals beyond itinerary, airport transfers within Hyderabad, local transport such as auto-rickshaws and battery operated vehicles, special pujas, tour guide charges, tips, laundry, beverages, bottle water and other personal expenses will need to be paid separately.
