Royal Enfield Bullet 650 set for debut with bigger engine and classic styling

Royal Enfield is gearing up to introduce the much-anticipated Bullet 650, a motorcycle expected to blend the timeless appeal of the Bullet with the company’s successful twin-cylinder platform. The launch is likely to take place next month, and the bike is expected to sit among the brand’s premium offerings.

The Bullet remains one of the oldest continuously produced motorcycles in the world, and Royal Enfield appears determined to preserve its unmistakable identity even as performance levels take a significant leap forward.

Expected to be priced around ₹3.5 lakh ex-showroom, the Bullet 650 could become one of the most desirable retro motorcycles in the Indian market.

Classic Bullet design stays intact

According to AutoX, Royal Enfield has retained the traditional design language that made the Bullet a cultural icon across generations. The motorcycle carries the familiar long silhouette, upright stance and signature single-piece bench seat, now redesigned for improved comfort and accessibility.

At the front, the Bullet 650 features the classic casquette-style headlamp along with the brand’s trademark tiger-eye pilot lamps, now upgraded with LED lighting. Chrome-finished peashooter exhausts continue to define the motorcycle’s visual identity while delivering the deep exhaust note associated with the Bullet name.

The teardrop-shaped fuel tank receives hand-painted gold pinstripes and a vintage-inspired winged emblem that pays tribute to Royal Enfield’s early heritage.

The motorcycle is expected to arrive in two colour options, Cannon Black and Battleship Blue.

Proven 650cc engine powers the new Bullet

According to AutoX, the biggest transformation lies under the fuel tank. The upcoming Bullet 650 will use Royal Enfield’s established 647.95cc parallel-twin engine already seen on models such as the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.

The engine produces 46.4 bhp and 52.3 Nm of torque, delivering nearly double the performance of the Bullet 350. It will be paired with a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch aimed at smoother gear shifts and relaxed highway cruising.

Royal Enfield’s 650 platform has already earned strong credibility in India because of its refinement, reliability and accessible power delivery.

Modern features meet old-school character

According to AutoX, despite its retro appearance, the Bullet 650 is expected to offer a range of modern features. The bike will likely include dual-channel ABS, adjustable levers, USB Type-C charging and a semi-digital instrument console.

The motorcycle will also ride on wire-spoke wheels and feature suspension components from Showa, specially tuned for Indian road conditions.
