Mohun Bagan Super Giant is set to begin a new chapter ahead of the 2026-27 Indian Super League season, with Punjab FC head coach Panagiotis Dilmperis emerging as the frontrunner to take charge of the club. Lobera’s stint comes to an end
The appointment would bring an end to Sergio Lobera’s brief spell with the Mariners. The Spaniard took charge midway through the previous campaign after Jose Molina’s departure and oversaw the remainder of the season.

Despite Lobera’s vast experience in Indian football and a successful track record with clubs such as FC Goa, Mumbai City FC and Odisha FC, Mohun Bagan has opted to move in a different direction as it plans for the future.
