Chennai Super Kings suffered a huge blow to their IPL 2026 playoff hopes after losing to Lucknow Super Giants by seven wickets in Lucknow. Mitchell Marsh played a stunning innings and completely dominated the CSK bowling attack.

Batting first, CSK did not have the best start as they lost early wickets during the Powerplay. However, Kartik Sharma rebuilt the innings with a solid knock of 71 runs. Nicholas Pooran finishes the chase

After Marsh was dismissed, Nicholas Pooran made sure there were no problems for Lucknow in the final stages. The left-handed batter attacked immediately and hit four consecutive sixes to finish the match in style.

Lucknow Super Giants chased down the target comfortably, reaching 188/3 with 20 balls remaining. The win strengthened LSG’s position in the points table, while CSK’s playoff chances suffered another major setback.
