A large billboard featuring US President Donald Trump lying inside an open black coffin has appeared in central Tehran, adding another flashpoint to the already tense relationship between Iran and the United States.
Installed at Enghelab Square, the display carries the message “We Will Kill Trump” in both Persian and English. The artwork shows Trump with his eyes closed, hands folded across his red tie and placed inside black concrete barriers arranged to resemble a coffin, echoing funeral imagery used during ceremonies for Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The installation also includes the words “In memory of Minab’s children”, referring to the southern Iranian city of Minab, where an elementary school was struck during the ongoing conflict on February 28.

The United States has launched fresh strikes targeting what it says are Iranian military assets, while also taking action against a vessel accused of attempting to break the US naval blockade imposed on Iranian ports.
The Strait of Hormuz remains at the centre of the confrontation, with both sides continuing military operations around the strategically important waterway.

Reports of alleged assassination plot
The billboard follows reports that Israeli intelligence had warned the United States about an alleged Iranian plot targeting President Trump.

According to reports by The Wall Street Journal and CNN, Israeli intelligence shared information with Washington pointing to what it described as a specific assassination threat. CNN also reported that US intelligence agencies had been monitoring possible threats against Trump in recent weeks.
Responding to the reports, Trump issued a warning to Iran, saying, “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the Globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!”
The US President also said the military had already been instructed to respond if any assassination attempt were carried out against him.

Conflict continues despite diplomatic efforts
The latest developments come nearly a month after Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at reducing hostilities.
Despite that agreement, the US has continued strikes on Iranian military targets, while both countries remain engaged in indirect diplomatic efforts. Although fighting has intensified in recent days, mediated talks between the two sides have not been formally suspended.
