India is set to tour Sri Lanka for two Test matches in August, before that, the Indian team has got a major boost as Jasprit Bumrah has cleared the fitness test for the series. According to PTI a BCCI source has confirmed Bumrah’s availability for the Sri Lanka series. Jasprit Bumrah has recently made a comeback into the ODI side against England and got himself injured again before the series decider at Lord’s. The veteran fast bowler is going to be one of India’s main bowlers in the upcoming World Cup and before that, the team management is managing workload with a strict hand.

The anonymous source has revealed to PTI, “Jasprit Bumrah has recovered from his impact injury. He has cleared the fitness Tests mandated by the COE. Hopefully he will be available for both games as he is integral to the team’s plans.” 

Jasprit Bumrah will be key in the Sri Lanka series 

India is going to Sri Lanka with just three fast bowling options other than Jasprit Bumrah. Prashidh Krishna, Mohammad Siraj and recently debuted Gurnoor Brar are present in the squad.

It is expected that the conditions will help spinners more, but other than Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav, new players like Manav Suthar and Saransh Jain will have to face the challenge.
